Over the last 10 years, the Enterprise Application Services Branch (EASB) has been migrating the Agencys Administrative and Financial Systems to the Oracle platform joining the Agricultural Research Information (ARIS). ARIS has broadened to include both research and administrative programs. ARIS now represents all of the ARS Systems designed and delivered through Oracle software developed by the Enterprise Application Services Branch, Office of the Chief Information Officer.
The Agricultural Research Information System (ARIS) is the primary Management Information System for the Agricultural Research Service (ARS). The ARIS captures research documentation and manages critical assets while providing accountability of ARS project research and ARS resource management. The ARIS is an in-house created custom information system developed using Oracle for the database and SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports for the application development tools.
